ASEAN-Australia Education Dialogue

The ASEAN Australia Education Dialogue (AAED) 2025 sails into UNESCO World Heritage Georgetown Penang, Malaysia, bringing together thought leaders, researchers, students, policymakers, and change-makers across the region.
This year’s theme - “Education in Motion: Reimagining Mobility, Inclusivity, and Sustainability Across Borders” - dives deep into the urgent need for collaborative education strategies that support sustainability, inclusion, and innovation. From climate action and maritime sustainability to digital learning and regional mobility, AAED 2025 is a platform for building a shared future through meaningful partnerships.
AAED 2025 IS hosted by Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) - a regional hub for learning and exchange including in marine and coastal research - and proudly co-organised with the ASEAN Focus Group (AFG VG), in association with the ASEAN University Network (AUN), the dialogue invites participation from across ASEAN and Australia, celebrating diversity, connection, and shared purpose.
